Bantam Spectra, thanks for taking a chance on me and that hastily sketched character FitzChivalry Farseer. Assassin's Apprentice, Book One of the Farseer trilogy. Pretty darn clean, especially considering the subject matter: illegitimacy, politics and assassination. It is about a boy who apprentices as, well, an assassin. With this novel, Robin Hobb entered the public On the 13th day of July in 1993, I signed a rather nebulous contract with Bantam Books to write a trilogy. Fitz is a bastard, quite literally. The story begins as Fitz explains It may be a rather bold statement, but Assassin's Apprentice is easily the best book I have read in the past six months. Assassin's Apprentice is the memoirs of one FitzChivalry Farseer. If you enjoy this type of story, I would So glad you really seemed to enjoy the book, if you still feel the same way after book three then i have a feeling you will also love the Liveship Traders trilogy by Robin Hobb. I started posting a weekly Book Chat feature a few months back, but life has gotten in the way of my good intentions and I've neglected this feature recently. Assassin's Apprentice is book 1 in author Robin Hobb's trilogy The Farseer. Fifteen years ago, one of the great fantasy series was born, starting with Assassin's Apprentice. Book one had the working title Chivalry's Bastard. Megan the book that would change my life and my fortune. However, I now have only four more books to go before I catch up to the ones that my friend helpfully lent to me (numbers 8 and 9 in the overall continuity).
